Ms. Dempsey

Ms. Dempsey has been teaching at HSA Lorain since 2015. Over the years, she's taught both 3rd and 5th grade, and she especially loves teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies. She says there's something magical about reading stories and learning about different people, places, and times alongside her students.  

Before coming to HSA, she taught English in South Korea and even spent a summer teaching aboard a boat in New York! She lives in Lorain with her two chihuahuas, Snowball and Bruno. She has two sisters, a brother, and two nieces.

Outside of school, Ms. Dempsey enjoys reading, cooking, and playing piano. She's a big fan of the Harry Potter series, fantasy books, animals, and lilac everything. She's so excited to spend another great year learning and growing with her students!
