Ms. Simmons

Ms. Simmons is an artist, designer, and educator passionate about helping students discover their creativity and develop their own artistic voice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Kent State University, with a minor in Drawing. Her personal art practice focuses primarily on metalsmithing, jewelry design, and wearable art.

As a practicing artist and the founder of her own jewelry brand, sugarforbrains, Ms. Simmons loves bringing real-world creative experiences into the classroom. Her students explore everything from traditional art-making and design fundamentals to digital media, visual communication, and programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

She believes art education should be hands-on, relevant, challenging, and fun. Ms. Simmons' goal is to create a classroom where students feel comfortable experimenting, developing new skills, thinking like designers, and finding their own creative style.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys creating jewelry, exploring art and fashion, traveling, staying active, and finding inspiration everywhere she goes. Ms. Simmons is excited to continue helping our students grow into confident, curious, and creative thinkers!
