Mrs. Verlei

Mrs. Verlei has joined Horizon Science Academy as a dedicated Reading Interventionist for grades 6–8. With a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and over 16 years of experience in education, she is passionate about helping students grow as readers by building confidence, fluency, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

 

Her teaching is centered around the motto: “I want you to be better than when you come to me,” reflecting her commitment to student progress and personalized support.

 

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Verlei enjoys spending time with her husband, cat, and two guinea pigs.
