Mrs. Sayers

Mrs. Sayers serves as the 7th and 8th-grade social Studies teacher at Horizon Science Academy Lorain. She has been a dedicated member of the HSA Lorain team for the past 12 years, bringing a deep commitment to academic excellence and student growth. Mrs. Sayers is passionate about helping students understand historical events and their relevance to today’s world, fostering critical thinking and civic awareness in her classroom.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Sayers also serves as the coach of the middle school volleyball team. Through athletics, she promotes teamwork, discipline, and school spirit, further supporting student development beyond the classroom. Mrs. Sayers is a lifelong resident of Lorain and takes pride in being part of the community she serves. She has been married to her husband for 20 years and is the proud mother of three children. Though rooted in Lorain, she has traveled to many different places and enjoys sharing her personal experiences with students to enrich classroom discussions and bring social studies to life.
