Horizon Science Academy of Lorain third graders and their teacher Miss Jasinski put their hearts to work this Valentine’s day by helping others in need. They recently participated in a community service project called, “The Valentine Project.”
The Valentine Project is a nonprofit organization that allows volunteers to make special packages for Valentine’s Day for current patients and survivors of chronic illnesses and their siblings. Their organization focuses on not only financial support for those with illnesses, but strives to create happiness for these children and their siblings on Valentine’s Day!
Specifically, our students had the opportunity to impact three children between the age of 8-10 this Valentine’s Day and tried to help just a little towards making their dreams come true. As you can see, our students collected candy, toys, stuffed animals, cards, activities, games, school supplies, books, art supplies etc…. all with the hope of bringing joy to others.
Thank you Miss Jasinksi and her third graders for sharing your kind hearts this Valentine’s Day!
