Seniors & Kindergartners Walk Towards Graduation

In honor of helping our students realize the dream of graduating, and showing our appreciation for their efforts, our 29 seniors, who have earned more the 4 million in scholarship as a class, paired up with future kindergarten graduates outside and in the hallways of Horizon. Business leaders, Concept organization leaders, first responders, fire department, police personnel, parents, staff, and former alumni lined the sidewalks and packed the hallways as the future high school and kindergarten graduates paired up together in their Horizon graduation gowns and toured the school. They were well received earning applause, messages of encouragement, and genuine love from the entire school community.

The event concluded in the auditorium with two inspirational messages from our very own Alumni, CaMarea Snipes-Thomas and President of the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, Tony Gallo.

Overall, it was a wonderful way to send off our graduates to the next stage of life, but rest assured just as Dr. Suess once said – “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened!”

**Special appreciation’s go out to Mrs. Alvarado, Kindergarten teachers, Student Council, and High School teachers for inspiring our students to achieve success.
