Math Counts Competition

The MATHCOUNTS Competition Series is a national program that provides students the opportunity to compete in live, in-person contests against and alongside their peers. Created in 1983, it is the longest-running MATHCOUNTS program and is open to all sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Horizon middle school students competed in the Mathcounts Chapter Competition on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Lorain County Community College. Serina Deus, Kennedy Sheridan, Vegas Polosky and Zinaily Esteves-Balines won 3rd place in the team round. Alexis Bhagmath, Amaya Rodriguez, and Aiden Gilkey had a great experience competing in the individual rounds.
