This Spring, Concept Schools challenged 3rd-12th grade students to ‘Pen a Poem for Justice’ for their annual writing contest. Drawing inspiration from the song “Glory” by John Legend and Common from the movie Selma, students wrote original poems that shed new light on the meaning of justice. HSA Lorain 11th grader, Corrine Cianci, was chosen from hundreds of entries from the Concept Schools network as this year’s 3rd Place Winner in the 9th-12th grade band. In addition to her prize, her poem “We Try and Try Again” will be published on the Concept Schools website. Congratulations, Corrine!
