Throughout the week of February 27th- March 3rd our students participated in Dr. Seuss Week and Read Across America. Each and every day was filled with fun literacy and Dr. Seuss themed activities. Students were able to dress down and dress silly! We celebrated with wearing green, silly mismatched socks, crazy hair, favorite hats, and by wearing pajamas. On Thursday, we participated in Read Across America, which is when people around the nation stop what they are doing and read. It is on Dr. Seuss’s birthday every year. Our students partnered up between K-5 and 6-12 to read in the hallway for approximately 20 minutes. On Friday, K-5 students were able to invite a special guest into the classroom and end our Dr. Seuss filled week with some reading time and activities. Students and teachers across the school participated and had an enjoyable time.
