The week of September 3- September 9, 2017, Horizon offered aid to those in need throughout the Houston, Texas area. Due to the floods and damaged caused by Hurricane Harvey, there were many people who lost their homes, their personal belongings and even their lives.
As a school we felt the need to go above and beyond for those in despair. So as a result, we offered aid by using our school as a donation center to collect supplies of every day items in order to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey
It was a great way for our school community to come together and we truly appreciate all those who donated. Inevitable our hope was to make some kind of difference, even if it is was simple as a donation.
A special thanks to the Mr. Darryl Tucker from the Morning Journal and St. Mary of the Falls who helped take the supplies to Texas.
